ROUND POND ESTATE WINERY
“A DAY IN THE LIFE” EXPERIENCE
Harvest and Wine Making Experience:
For the first half of the day, you will be participating in a morning of harvesting Round Pond Estate grapes and helping the winemaker to craft a fine wine. This will take place from 9:00am to 11:30am.
9:00am: Guests arrive at the estate Winery and over coffee, tea and pastries will meet with owner and winemaker to learn about Round Pond Estate and discuss the days plans.
9:30am – 11:30am: Guests will participate in harvest and winemaking activities including picking Round Pond Estate grapes, sorting grapes, leafing and pressing. You will also be tasting just pressed free run juice from the grapes and performing analysis such as measuring brix, sampling wine in barrel, etc. Guests will also explore the new Winery Sensory Garden and pick out characteristics in the wines, while observing Round Pond’s biodynamic practices.
Gourmet Food and Wine Experience:
For the second half of the day you will enjoy the Round Pond Estate wines and foods with an educational tasting experience and a gourmet luncheon in the Round Pond Olive Groves. This will take place from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
12:00pm: Olive Mill tour in which guests learn about Round Pond’s olive oils, red wine vinegars and citrus syrups.
12:30pm: Luncheon at the Round Pond Olive Groves which will include Round Pond’s wines, olive oils, organic property produce, etc. (or Olive Mill, weather permitting).
This experience will be offered 1 time during winery harvest.
