Bidding Opens May 26 for Napa Valley Vintners' Global E-Auction

Build your wine cellar while supporting healthcare and youth education for those in need

 

 

5/23/2013 - St. Helena, CA--Wine lovers near and far are invited to place their bids beginning Sunday, May 26 at 12 p.m. PDT on the more than 170 extraordinary Napa Valley wine and experience lots featured in the Napa Valley Vintners' E-Auction. The E-Auction is part of Auction Napa Valley, the world's most celebrated charity wine event, which raises funds for healthcare and youth education nonprofits throughout Napa County.

The lots offered in the E-Auction provide the lucky winning bidder with unparalleled access to verticals and large format bottle collections of Napa Valley wine, overnight stays at winery guest houses, lunches and dinners for small groups of friends and many other unique experiences.

Every dollar raised brings tangible results for those in need in the Napa County community. For example:

  • $1,000 provides one year of Boys & Girls Club after school programs for a child, or comprehensive gestational diabetes assistance for three pregnant women through Clinic Ole, or emergency basic needs assistance from Puertas Abiertas for 25 families.

  • $5,000 pays for iPads and reading apps for 10 kindergarten students through Napa Learns, or 25 days of hospice care for one uninsured patient through Hospice of Napa Valley, or professional skills mentoring from Big Brothers, Big Sisters for up to 10 at-risk youth.

    The annual Auction Napa Valley event starts on Thursday, May 30 with a series of vintner-hosted dinners, followed by the Napa Valley Barrel Auction at Raymond Vineyards on Friday and the Live Auction Celebration at Meadowood Napa Valley on Saturday.
