	Peju Province is a family owned and operated winery established in 1982 by Anthony and Herta Peju. They are joined by their daughters Lisa and Ariana as part of the daily operations team. The HB Vineyard (30 acres) is located in Rutherford at the winery site and produces the organically farmed Reserve wines, only red varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The Persephone Ranch (350 acres - 135 planted to vineyards) in Pope Valley features sustainably farmed Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Syrah, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Peju's goal is to produce high end approachable wines - which undoubtedly takes a combination of winemaking skills and blending, but above all - capturing the essence of the grapes from the terroir in which they are grown.

	Tasting Room Description: Guests are welcomed into a magnificent 50-foot French provincial tasting room tower built around a dramatic, antique stained glass window. The rustic wood beams and bars in the main tasting area, and extraordinary Brazilian quartzite floors in the tasting room addition, surround guests with a stunning and architecturally-unique setting while enjoying Peju's award-winning wines. Peju offers a wine experience unlike any other as guests sample four current wines, many that are exclusive to the tasting room, in a presentation-style setting. Groups are escorted to one of our unique tasting bars where a Peju tasting room ambassador shares the story of each wine, Peju’s history and winemaking style. Visitors enjoy “Vintertainment” from wine pourer and musician Alan Arnopole, whose musical narratives about Peju Wines and the Napa Valley are an experience you don’t want to miss!
	Music in Tasting Room: Guests can enjoy the musical talents of View from Tasting Room: Peju's Rutherford Estate gives way to sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards, Vaca Mountain Range to the east, the Mayacamas to the west and Mount St. Helena to the north. 	Certified Napa Green Winery:
	PEJU is certified under the Napa Green Winery Program by the Napa County Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and the Association of Bay Area Government’s (ABAG) Green Business Program and completed all the regulatory components needed for environmental sustainability. These components included developing water and energy conservation methods, preventing pollution, and reducing solid waste. In addition to developing sustainable winery practices, this program is set to become the standard for the state of California.

	Certified Napa Green Land:
	PEJU is certified under the Napa Green Certified Land Program. PEJU has created and implemented a customized farm plan with measured results that addressed all aspects of its property, vineyard land as well as non-farmed land, including practicing soil conservation, water conservation, stable drainage, riparian corridor enhancement, fisheries and wildlife habitat enhancement and long-term improvement and sustainability.

Certification - certification is granted by the Napa County Agricultural Commissioners Office of Pesticide Regulation, the Regional Water Quality Control board, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the National Marine Fisheries Service. The Napa Green program is supported by a wide variety of groups including the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the University of California. The Napa Valley Vintners, along with Fish Friendly Farming, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, and the Napa County Farm Bureau, developed the Napa Green program.
