Crocker & Starr Wines

In 1997, Charlie Crocker and Pam Starr established Crocker & Starr, resurrecting a vineyard with roots going back to the 1870s. With Charlie’s 100-acre estate vineyard on farmland that has grown grapes for over 140 years and Pam’s winemaking expertise, vision and business acumen, the partners proved to be a spectacular match.
Charlie is co-owner with Pam, the winery manager and winemaker.

Crocker & Starr handcrafts a small production of exquisite, world-class wines from our organic vineyard estate in St. Helena. Charlie Crocker and Pam Starr’s commitment to sustainable and organic farming techniques combined with cutting edge winemaking tools and guided by expert hands come together to combine the best of both old world philosophy and new world fruit. Winemaker and co-owner Pam Starr “designs” the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc to capture the essence of the extraordinary terroir of the vineyard.

As a result of this, we are blessed with a strong heritage of credibility. Not just that typical list: great land, wonderful grapes, great winemaking passion and wonderful ratings for our wines. We have all that. But Crocker & Starr is more – we represent a long winemaking history in land and buildings. We are serious about our wines but we also know how to have fun. We recognize science and technology are the foundation for making truly great wines.
