Stony Hill Vineyard
Stony Hill is unique in that after 58 years of operation we have remained a small family business, rooted in our original vision of creating great wines in small lots from our own Stony Hill vineyards. Today our forty acres of vines produce on average 3,500 cases of wine per year. Our winemaking style is distinctly non-interventionist, allowing the intensely flavored fruit from our rocky, hillside soils to determine the character of the wine. We describe it as fruity, non-oaky and non-malolactic in style and see it as a particularly good match with food. We sell our wines primarily to customers on our mailing list and to fine restaurants in major metropolitan areas throughout the US.

Tasting Room Atmosphere
In summer we taste wines under an old oak tree on the north terrace of the ranch house overlooking the Napa Valley. In winter we taste wines at the dining room table inside the ranch house.
View
from Tasting Room: From our north terrace visitors look eastward across the Napa Valley to Howell Mountain and the Vaca range.
Wine
Education: In the winery we compare and contrast various winemaking techniques and when tasting we discuss wine styles across as broad a spectrum as possible.
Napa Green
The Napa Green program is supported by a wide variety of groups including the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the University of California.
