A mountainside winery dating back to the 1880s, it became known as Burgess Cellars in 1972. Located on the western side of Howell Mountain.
The winery and vineyards have evolved into growing and producing very stylistic wines due to vineyard locations and climates. The outstanding reputation of Burgess wines lies in the fact that they are always in perfect harmony, fully integrated to form a "total impression".

Napa Green Certified Land

Burgess Cellars is certified under the Napa Green Certified Land Program. Burgess Cellars has created and implemented a customized farm plan with measured results that addressed all aspects of its property, vineyard land as well as non-farmed land, including practicing soil conservation, water conservation, stable drainage, riparian corridor enhancement, fisheries and wildlife habitat enhancement and long-term improvement and sustainability.

Certification - certification is granted by the Napa County Agricultural Commissioners Office of Pesticide Regulation, the Regional Water Quality Control board, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the National Marine Fisheries Service.


Premiere Napa Valley

Once a year the rarest new Napa Valley wines become available under one roof at Premiere Napa Valley. Wineries throughout the Napa Valley are given one task to participate: create a one-of-a-kind wine for this event to be purchased by one lucky bidder. This event is only open to select members of the wine trade and the successful bidder is the sole owner of this unique wine.
