The southernmost region in the southernmost appellation of Napa, Bouchaine cultivates Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, crafting widely acclaimed wines that are nuanced, finely balanced and truly showcase the best characteristics of these famously fickle varietals. Bouchaine's long wine producing history is respected today as we apply common-sense sustainable practices to making interesting, layered wines with sensual delight. We follow three simple tenets: first, do no harm; second, be a good neighbor; and third, make the best, varietally correct, complex, and sophisticated Chardonnays and all things Pinot. Winemaking at Bouchaine is a fusion of a seasoned veteran, GM & Winemaker Michael Richmond, and an innovative student of enology and viticulture, Associate Winemaker Andrew Brooks. Their wines beautifully embody Michael’s - and Pinot Noir’s - elusive goal of “blending with power and full flavor without sacrificing the ethereal perfume that is Pinot.”

The Napa Green program is supported by a wide variety of groups including the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, and the University of California. The Napa Valley Vintners, along with Fish Friendly Farming, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, the Napa County Farm Bureau and others developed the Napa Green program.

Certified Napa Green Land
Bouchaine Vineyards is certified under the Napa Green Certified Land Program. Bouchaine Vineyards has created and implemented a customized farm plan with measured results that addressed all aspects of its property, vineyard land as well as non-farmed land, including practicing soil conservation, water conservation, stable drainage, riparian corridor enhancement, fisheries and wildlife habitat enhancement and long-term improvement and sustainability.
Certification - certification is granted by the Napa County Agricultural Commissioners Office of Pesticide Regulation, the Regional Water Quality Control board, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the National Marine Fisheries Service.

Once a year the rarest new Napa Valley wines become available under one roof at Premiere Napa Valley. Wineries throughout the Napa Valley are given one task to participate: create a one-of-a-kind wine for this event to be purchased by one lucky bidder. This event is only open to select members of the wine trade and the successful bidder is the sole owner of this unique wine.
