Napa Valley Vintners Partnering in First-Ever SF Chefs. Food. Wine.
Eighty Napa Valley Wineries to Be Featured in San Francisco's Premier Culinary Weekend Event.
7/13/2009 - Eighty of Napa Valley's renowned wineries will descend on San Francisco to participate in the first-ever "SF Chefs. Food. Wine." a four-day food and wine event that celebrates the best and brightest of Northern California's diversity and bounty. Events take place August 6-9 in and around Union Square and in restaurants across the city, and include food and wine tasting, cooking demos, interactive and educational seminars, book signings, receptions and dinners.
Napa Valley the Wine Focus for Friday Grand Tasting
The Grand Tastings kick off will be on Friday in the main tent on the famed Union Square. The wine focus for the day will be Napa Valley, where more than 40 Napa Valley vintners will be on hand to meet and pour for attendees. In addition, 40 more Napa Valley vintners will pour as part of the final Grand Tasting on Sunday. Both days, guests can swirl, sip and savor new and favorite Napa Valley wines while enjoying food featuring local products from two dozen Bay Area chefs, watching cooking demos and cocktail competitions, having cookbooks signed by the authors and more.
Proceeds from SF Chefs. Food. Wine., which is sponsored by Visa Signature, benefit three charities: the San Francisco Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association's Scholarship Foundation.
