Now more than ever, Auction Napa Valley is an excellent venue for collecting some of the world's most prized wines, direct from the source. Napa Valley's winemakers have generously donated more than 75 online-only lots for wine lovers who have dreamed of attending private vintner-hosted events, cooking alongside a winery chef, blending wine, and adding rare bottles or entire collections to their cellars. With the E-Auction, participants can enjoy a virtual Napa Valley experience from anywhere in the world while supporting healthcare, affordable housing and youth service non-profits.
Bidding for the E-Auction will begin May 25th and end on June 8th when the action heats up with bidders at the Napa Valley auction event dueling with bidders from around the globe for these treasures. Bidders will be able to find out the real-time results via on-site screens at the auction or from the comfort of their own homes.
"We've really ramped up the offerings this year for our online auction participants," said Bill Phelps, chairman of Joseph Phelps Vineyards, whose family is the Auction Napa Valley 2007 chair. “So if you cannot attend the June event here in Napa Valley, you can still bid to secure one of these unique experiences or collections and support a great cause," he added.
An example of the exciting lots includes The Napa Valley Vintners' Lot #101 featuring a state-of-the-art, stainless steel outdoor grill provided by Viking Range Corporation, and a christening of the grill with a member of the Joseph Phelps Vineyards team in the successful bidder's home accompanied by a selections from the winery's cellar.
