Napa Valley Vintners Partners with Institute of Masters of Wine for Upcoming Conference
Napa Valley to Host Event's First-Ever North America Symposium
6/12/2006 - St Helena, CA - The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) is proud to sponsor the Institute of Masters of Wine's sixth symposium, Lateral Vision, to be held in Napa Valley June 29 to July 2, 2006. The Masters of Wine holds its conference every four years and this is the first time it will be held in North America.
The symposium is open not only to Masters of Wine, but also to those in senior positions, or aiming to become so, in the global wine community. Key opinion formers and decision makers from over 20 countries, including Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, and the UK will gather at the Silverado Resort to hear speakers including Jancis Robinson MW, James Halliday, Christopher Carson, Brian Croser, Kym Milne MW, Paul Draper, Jacques Lurton, Agustin Huneeus, Bill Harlan and many more. Linda Reiff, executive director of NVV said:" This is a landmark event being held in the Napa Valley and a fantastic opportunity for those in or interested in the wine industry to participate. The seminars will be top-notch and the ability to hear and meet key players and vintners is terrific. We are thrilled to help host this event."
Siobhan Turner, executive director of the Masters of Wines said: "On the agenda are topics of relevance and great interest to the wine world, including: climate change and how we are facing it; legislation, regulation and restriction - where does your wine get stopped; what critics are looking for; and, what the public wants, are but a few of the challenging, informative and very interesting sessions."
Registration costs $795, includes lunch daily and dinners at wineries around the Napa Valley on each of the three nights.
