Napa Valley Vintners Recruits Stephanie Hahn to Manage International Marketing Programs

Trade association working to elevate global marketing strategy for Napa Valley wine region

4/17/2015 - St. Helena, CA – The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) nonprofit trade association has hired Stephanie Hahn, an established wine industry sales and marketing professional, to support the 500-plus member organization’s global marketing efforts. In its 2015-2017 strategic plan, the NVV identified achieving greater global recognition as a quality wine region as one of its top priorities. “The Napa Valley has worked hard to earn a positive reputation with wine buyers and consumers around the world,” commented Linda Reiff, NVV president and CEO. “We’ve been organizing trade missions to key export countries for more than 20 years. However, our new strategic plan calls for an even greater emphasis on positioning Napa Valley as one of the world’s finest wine regions. Although we only harvest 4% of California’s wine grapes, we believe our commitment to producing quality wines and environmental leadership are on par with other top regions and it’s our goal to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our peers. We’re pleased to have Stephanie join our team’s efforts to achieve this goal.” In her new role, Hahn will oversee representatives in the NVV’s satellite offices in the UK, Japan, mainland China and Canada who lead education and promotional programs in their respective markets. In 2015, the NVV is organizing Taste Napa Valley trade missions to London, China and Canada and is bringing key international trade and media from China, the UK and Canada to Napa Valley for its signature educational immersion program, Experience Napa Valley. Also new for 2015, the Napa Valley will have its own pavilion at Vinexpo Bordeux in June, including daily seminars and tastings that showcase unique attributes of the wine region. More than a dozen NVV member wineries will have their own stands within the Napa Valley pavilion. A street party in downtown Bordeaux on June 15 will feature Napa Valley wines served from large-format bottles and a Taste & Tweet event on June 17 will promote Napa Valley to a global audience via social media. Hahn has held various positions in brand management, international marketing, business development, marketing communications and trade marketing at companies including Robert Mondavi Winery, Burt’s Bees and Folio Fine Wine Partners. She holds a Master of International Business from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts in English from University of San Francisco. About the Napa Valley Vintners The Napa Valley Vintners nonprofit trade association has been cultivating excellence since 1944 by inspiring its more than 500 members to consistently produce wines of the highest quality, to provide environmental leadership and to care for the extraordinary place they call home.
