Napa Vintners Offer a Light-hearted Look at Harvest 2012

11/8/2012 - St Helena, CA--The Napa Valley Vintners released today the finale of its 2012 harvest video series with a an out-take reel of the season's spokespeople's more whimsical commentaries and bloopers.

"Harvest in a great year like 2012 is like winning the World Series," said Richard Ward of Saintsbury winery.

As it was with the San Francisco Giants, so it is with Harvest Napa Valley 2012: a winning season. Now begins the alchemy of fermentation and the nuance of the winemaker's art.

The last video of the series answers such monumental questions as: "What is the first thing you do at the end of harvest?" (open a very cold beer, crash and sleep for 24 hours, throw a pig roast) and "If harvest were a holiday...," along with the laughter that comes at the end of a very good year.

Check out all of the videos from sparkling wine's kick-off to the final picking of Cabernet at the trade association's annual harvest website.
