150 ways to Kick Your Cellar Up a Notch--While Supporting Great Non-profit Programs

5/24/2012 - St Helena, CA--Auction Napa Valley, the Napa Valley Vintners' (NVV) annual charity fundraiser, and the most celebrated charity wine auction in America announces that online bidding for its much-anticipated Global E-Auction goes live this Sunday, May 27 at Noon Pacific Time.

"There are 150 offerings from the wineries that include large format bottles, cellar-builder collections, vertical collections and more to help the savvy wine lover build an awesome wine cellar of renowned Napa Valley wines," said Andy Schweiger of Schweiger Vineyards who chairs the global online auction. "Many of the lots include travel or events with the winemakers that make for truly memorable adventures."

All E-Auction lots are available for viewing--and bidding--at AuctionNapaValley.org.

Bidding continues through Sunday, June 3, closing in waves--the first fifty lots at 6 pm, the middle fifty at 6:15 pm and the final fifty at 6:30 pm Pacific Time that evening.

E-Auction lots feature a wide range of wines, trips, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind experiences for wine lovers. Bidders can "go big" with large format bottles (including 6-liter special-edition Cabernets) or a getaway to the soaring Canadian Rockies; they can "stay small" with an intimate "Winemaker for a Day" experience or dinner for four at the home of a famed Napa Valley vintner. These offerings are great for wine collectors, but also offer one-of-a-kind gifting opportunities for friends, famiy or clients.

Successful E-Auction bidders can get in on the Auction action without leaving home, from anywhere in the world. Best of all, the spirited online auction all goes to support great healthcare and youth development non-profit programs--so the money spent goes directly to improving the lives of those in need.
