Napa Vintners announce 16th annual Premiere Napa Valley SOLD OUT

1/23/2012 - St Helena, CA—The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) announced today that its ever-popular signature barrel tasting and auction for the wine trade, Premiere Napa Valley (PNV) has sold out more than a month in advance of the event. PNV will take place on February 25 at The Culinary Institute of America in St Helena.

“Premiere Napa Valley is the must attend event for the wine trade each year in the Napa Valley and is often viewed as a barometer of trade confidence in the wine market, so this earlier-than-ever sell out is very encouraging,” said Erle Martin, CEO of Pine Ridge Vineyards who along with Winemaker and General Manager Michael Beaulac is chairing PNV 2012.

Top restaurateurs, retailers, distributors, brokers and media from across the country as well as Japan, China, Canada and the UK are showing great enthusiasm for what the NVV often calls its annual homecoming where vintners welcome their trade partners and extend their renowned Napa Valley hospitality.

The funds raised at the auction further the goals of the non-profit association’s efforts to promote, protect and enhance the Napa Valley and its wine from wine education and professional development programs for industry members to trademark work to protect against fraudulent use of the Napa name in wine branding to continuing work on environmental initiatives that keep Napa Valley at the forefront of the industry.

The attendees are there to purchase wines that are the most unique, highest quality and rarest in the world to provide their best customers. In addition to the wine, the event provides the setting for networking and relationship building like no other. And still today, all research confirms that personal relationships are the key to successful wine marketing at the higher end.

The week leading to PNV finds Napa Valley at the center of the action with more than 500 trade in town joining vintners at private tastings and gatherings appellation-wide and the NVV hosting two other programs; 20 trade and media from Japan for its Experience Napa Valley educational intensive and more than 70 top media at the annual Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley www.winewriterssymposium.org.
